To personalise your SEO lead gen cold calls, you HAVE to start with the basics. Start by researching the business you’re calling. Look at their website and social media. Try to understand their brand–what kind of business they might be. For example, if they’re more corporate, they might appreciate more of an old-fashioned phone manner. A sole trader might appreciate someone who cuts through the BS.

And, of course, do a quick eye test on their site: what basics are they missing? Do they have no backlinks, no content, no reviews?

Use this info to kick off your call, proving you’ve done your homework. Address them by name and directly link your services to their unique needs: “we can help you get more business near XYZ”, for example.
